For peridot is my most favourite stone it is a pity that substantial pieces are quiet seldom.
Although jewellers work with it some decades of the 19th century the stone has been used usually in reviere and fragile colliers (especially in the edwardian era) or together with other stones, I guess becauce large stones are rare. While searching at the sides of the well-known dealers and auction houses for this wonderful green jewel I found the bigger ones set in brooches/pendants.
In the 20th century the stone is used also but alas... David Webb isnīt my cup of tea. There is a indeed hilarious necklace and bracelet combination made by Cartier in 1936. Set in platiniun and very Cartier. Love it (Cartier 1899-1949. The Journey of a style. 2007, S. 167)

Whatever, a usual Ursulas compendium give us two royal examples:
The Leiningen Peridot parure, including a tiara

and the little princess crown of Princess Elisabeth of Hessen:

Once I saw a better picture of the Leiningen peridot, maybe here.

In the British Royal Collection there is a medieval revival pendant. I cannot find it anymore after the reconstruction of the side. In my memory it has been designed by Prince Albert for QV.

: put up a new banner to showcase the
    : peridot...the birthstone of this month....or
: does that mean there's hardly any picture of
: any royal wearing peridot jewelry? Just
