You are quite right Singa, I remember very well what was written here some years ago by posters who had acurate informations on this matter, was that the tiara had never left the family and was soon to be seen again. This has proven to be correct, so until further reliable information comes along on this, I will consider this to be the correct information, that this piece was in the family's vaults for decades and now was worn again. We had these discussion some two years ago prior to Ps Nikolas wedding to Tatiana, everybody was in expectation as to if the bride would wear it.
The question remains as to why only now Pss Marie Chantal decided (or was allowed to by some unrevealed situation...) to wear it. Anyway, it's a delight to see such a splendorous piece.
I really hope the necklace is also still in some of the family vaults waiting to see the light again, but I have no reliable information on it.
