--Previous Message-- : : : --Previous Message-- : : : --Previous Message-- : I tend to disagree here, RE, as the : Lorentzen : family is very well-off and can certainly : afford keeping a family-heirloom in their : vaults until the day (in the far-away future : I hope!) when Norway sees a new Monarch and : there will be various festivities requiring : tiaras! : Princess Ragnhild's children speak Norwegian : (just remember her son Haakon's speech : recently!) and the family also has property : in Norway, which they use on a regular base, : so the close links to their royal cousins : remain intact! Of course, that could be the case Marianne. By my estimation, untitled descendants of the Norwegian Royal Family through the female line who reside primarily in Brazil requiring the use of a tiara just doesn't seem very likely to me. And with their mother's passing, despite the fact that they own property, their visits may become less frequent. Of course, I am in no position to say that that is what will happen. It is but one of many possibilities. Personally, I'd be surprised if thoughts as to their cousin's accession, or it's associated festivities, would even be considered; and I still would not be surprised if the tiara finds it's way to an auction house at some point. Just my opinion, naturally. Though if it were to be sold, I dont imagine that it would happen during their father's lifetime. And if they do retain it in their possession then that would be a nice tribute to their mother RE
