Who would wear it? Archived Message

Non aristocratic and non royal ladies seldom wear tiaras - and I suspect next to never in Norway - so why should Ragnilds female descendants ever need one? Just because their mother (in law) was a Norwegian Princess? They chose not to make use of the tiara at their weddings. Well if there ever was an opportunity...... So it is safe to assume they have absolutely no intention of using the tiara nor are they in need of the money so my guess is, it will return to the main line eventually - as it should. --Previous Message-- : Yes it'ssad that they never wore tiaras at : their Wedding. Also not when attending royal : Events in Notrway like the King's 70th : birthday celebrations. But then the question : would probalby be who of her children can : wearit, if all attend. As for Princess : Astrid's tiaras i think i have read that : some of her smaller tiaras can also be taken : apart and worn as brooshes etc. : : --Previous Message-- : It is really sad that her children didn't : use : a tiara for their weddings. (I feel the same : about Princess Astrid's children). But in : the end we must accept their decisions. : They are entitled to their heritage as their : mother was entitled to hers. : I believe that, in the case that they ever : want to sell the Boucheron tiara, they will : offer it to their Norwegian relatives first. : So public auction might only be an option if : the King is not interested in buying it. So : I hope that the Boucheron is not completely : lost for the RF. : : :
