We know which brooch and necklace Queen Josefina is wearing in this painting (see below ) and because the depiction of these two pieces is rather precise, I should think that the tiara seen here did indeed exist in this form as well. But I have never found any information on this particular tiara; strictly speculating, perhaps it was an alternative for the drop pearls from the second setting of the Leuchtenberg tiara (the number of 11 total could match), perhaps it was broken up... and as Queen Josefina’s only daughter remained unmarried and sold a lot of her jewels to finance charitable projects, one could also speculate that this piece might have been among them. The resemblance of the base to the ‘new’ cut steel tiara is very vague though; and additionally the tiara on Queen Josefina appears to be in diamonds - therefore I don’t believe that this is a match.
