Of course we can’t be definitely sure, because we have to deal with the reproduction of a painting in Josefina’s case. But the painting does seem to show all-diamonds, and the rather strict latticework in the ‘new’ cut steel tiara does not appear in the tiara base in the painting at all – see below. Apart from that, I agree with Tamara that the arches of Josefina’s tiara (made in what could be a laurel leaf motif) are quite different from the bolder, geometric Art Deco arches of Astrid’s.
