Good point ErikS! There seems to be a lot of confusing about the origins of Máxima's star brooches. If I am not mistaken there are no images of queens Juliana and Beatrix wearing these particular stars.
Since 2002 Máxima has at first been wearing only one star at the wedding of Frederik and Mary. Posters on this board have commented there being sightings of Máxima wearing two stars a few years back. And all of a sudden there are three stars!
That's why I have the idea the star from Simons Juweliers might have been bought by Willem-Alexander.
