Oh I'd love to see some experimentation with different stones! Turquoise, aquamarine, or maybe peridot. Rubies that size and shape are probably hard to come by.
--Previous Message-- : I read your comments with interest and great : joy. Now the Vladimir. I have wondered, that : we often see emerald drops but seldom, if : ever, see safire or ruby drops. Is it simply : because they are just not as beautifull as : emeralds in that shape or is there a reason : for that ? I think I recall a french safire : parure ( Queen Hortense ) where the earings : are pairshaped, but faceted ( is that a word : ? ). But not sure. Would be glad to hear : your thoughts :o) : : --Previous Message-- : I have always wondered about the emeralds in : their hanging state. Emerald are so fragile : and it would be bad for them clanging : arounds as the Queen moves. Not to mention : noisy.....remember Diana with the Lovers' : Know Tiara and her complaints. I wonder the : same for Queen Anne-Marie and her emerald : drops she places in various formations round : her neck. : : :
