The necklace should stay what it is a necklace! Too many of the bigger necklaces of the Orange-Nassau collection have been sacrificed. Queen Maxima will need some impressive necklaces.
So far only drop pendants of the parure have appeared they can easily be returned. Depending on the colour of her dress and if there will be a white tie event in the evening i have several favorite sets she could wear:
Evening: Stuart Parure with big diamond earrings of Beatrix and several bracelets
Day: 1 Pavlovnik Pearl tiara, with the big pearl necklace, the diamond and pearl bracelet and Queen Sophie's diamond and pearl stomacher/brooch.
2 Ears of wheat tiara with the festoon necklace and earrings and the brooch/stomacher of Queen Emma
3 Ears of wheat tiara with the necklace of the Peacock ruby parure, the earrings and stomacher of the Mellerio Ruby parure and the diamond and ruby bracelet of Queen Sophie (this set would work well with a dark blue or sparkling white dress, with the blue colour of the ribbon of the order HM would be in the national colours)
4 a restored pearl coronet of Queen Sophie with several of her diamond and pearl jewels and the necklace of big pearls.
5 Stuart parure but that only if the evening has no white tie event.
--Previous Message-- : : Haha mooie foto Marianne... : : I would say: "Dream on!" : : I think the parure has been remoddeled : already and is ready for action! : But surely not in this style. : I still think they will have demolished it : to make other items... : Although I also have this hope, lingering : somewhere in the back of my head, that they : kept it as it was and we will indeed see : Maxima as on your picture here... : But again: I highly doubt it. : I think, by the way that the parures : necklace also could make for an impressive : Tiara if they would put it on a frame. : : : : : :
