Jinja is correct I have a collection of several minature eggs in the Faberge style that I bought at the Hermitage and also around St Petersburg, they are as ideal a tourist gift as you might find brass Eiffel Towers in Paris, and Plaster Coliseum is in Rome. They are varied as the Master's with however not all the finesse that you might hope, often the enamel is cold painted, the stones simply glued, but charming for the memento, I have some splendid editions with guilloche enamel, and semi precious stones and one bought in the jewellery store that currently occupies the Shop Faberge himself ran on Bolshaya Morskaya. Many ladies of the period wore necklaces of tiny Faberge eggs, whether Aristocratic or Royal, they were trinkets for the sake of being given. Queen Marie of Romania had a very impressive Opera length chain with many tiny jewelled eggs attached, each one different from the last.
