Possible. I am astounded at the amount of jewels given to European royal ladies by Arab rulers. And not once, but everytime they visit it seems!

: The fact that that particular emerald set was
: chosen to be worn in Kuwait, could it
: indicate the provenance from that country?
: Maybe received during a Kuwait visit to
: Sweden or a previous Swedish visit to
    : Kuwait.
    :
    : Just a guess.

: I’d say that this emerald set will work
    : rather
: well on Queen Silvia herself as long as she
: doesn’t choose to wear it with a red dress
    : next time...
: The set (her 4th contemporary one in
: emeralds) is something of a curiosity as it
: was only seen once in public in 2008. As
: Queen Silvia has never worn jewelry on loan,
: it would be far-fetched to think that she
: did so on this occasion, but only time will
: tell if we see it again and can thereby
: determine that it’s actually hers.
: I quite like this modern variation

: i wonder if we will see the art deco set
    : again,
    :
: Do you think a younger royal could make it
    : look good

: At a charity dinner for her anti-drug
    : 'Mentor
: Foundation' in Kuwait City on Saturday,
: Queen Silvia wore the oldest of her several
: modern emerald sets, first seen in public at
    : King Carl Gustaf’s 40th birthday in 1986.
: All pieces of the set were worn - matching
: necklace, earrings, ring, and the rarely
    : seen bracelet.
