Hesse strawberry leaf tiara Archived Message

The strawberry leaf tiara was on the plane which crashed in 1937 and killed most of the Hessen und bei Rhein family. The tiara remained intact because it was well protected in its box. Some years ago it was part of an exhibition, so it is definitely still around. I never heard anything about it being sold, so it is possibly still owned by descendents of the Hessen family. Isn't it a beautiful piece? I wonder if it was also designed by Prince Albert. The style is quite typical for him, isn't it? --Previous Message-- : Do you know who currently owns what Princess : Alice wore (tiara, choker, bracelet, brooch, : etc) in this wonderful portrait, Nellie? : : --Previous Message-- : Edit: ugh! fixing the Subject ! : : A rather unusual brooch : : Royal Collection number 2902405 : : : : : : :
