I would accept it, too. Some times ago Ursula (thank you) had posted a video from an exhibition including the beautiful strawberry leaf tiara, worth to be worn by every remaining Queen on ths planet. Itīs still on the old main page. Donīt know if it works, can not test it at the moment.
--Previous Message-- : This tiara is not one of my favourites but I : would happily accept it. : It is likely that Prince Albert had a hand : in its design. He had not long died before : Alice's wedding and some gifts were in his : name. : : : --Previous Message-- : The strawberry leaf tiara was on the plane : which crashed in 1937 and killed most of the : Hessen und bei Rhein family. The tiara : remained intact because it was well : protected in its box. Some years ago it was : part of an exhibition, so it is definitely : still around. I never heard anything about : it being sold, so it is possibly still owned : by descendents of the Hessen family. : : Isn't it a beautiful piece? I wonder if it : was also designed by Prince Albert. The : style is quite typical for him, isn't it? : : : : --Previous Message-- : Do you know who currently owns what Princess : Alice wore (tiara, choker, bracelet, brooch, : etc) in this wonderful portrait, Nellie? : : --Previous Message-- : Edit: ugh! fixing the Subject ! : : A rather unusual brooch : : Royal Collection number 2902405 : : : : : : : : : : :
