Well the RVD certainly has not been known for taking truth serum on a daily basis but that's not the point. Perhaps you are right of course. I just find it hard to believe they took the most important tiara (of these two days) apart a day before the big day and had someone sit there with a miniature screw driver reassemble it again while Beatrix was in the other room abdicating, so to speak and Máxima's dress was getting pressed.

    : Friso's wedding day:
: RVD said: the tiara Mabel is wearing is a
: second setting from a saphire-tiara made for
    : Queen Emma by Mellerio.
: Later it "surfaced" that the frame
: used to put the diamonds on already was part
: of the Original extra's that came with the
    : tiara.
    :
: The top row from the Mellerio Saphire Tiara
: consists out of 27 graduating diamonds.
: They are exactly the same as the 27 diamonds
: used in Mabels tiara, you can see that by
: comparing the pictures and why would the RVD
: lie about such a thing?

: I would like to take a closer look at the
: setting of the diamonds! Counting stones
: just does not convince me. The O-N's have a
: impressive collection of serious sized
: diamonds at their disposal. A closer look at
: the setting could tell us something but I
: have not been able to get a good side or
: rear view of the top row of diamonds set on
: the Sapphire Tiara. I do have a good close
: up from the Second Frame. If the setting is
: exactly the same then we have a match. And I
: would like to ask you this question (again):
: did anyone at the time of the wedding of
: Friso and Mabel state or ever confirmed that
: the diamonds were actually taken from the
: Sapphire Tiara? I am not saying it's not
: possibe. I am saying it's not not the only
: possibility. If I were the Court jeweller I
: would not have been too comfortable having
: to change a tiara back to a setting hours
: before the most important event of
    : decades....but that's another matter.

: Johan you are right and we only have to
    : count
: the diamonds in Mabels tiara to know for
    : shure.
: These are exactly the same gradualy
: "growing" diamonds as the top row
: of diamonds and exactly the same amount of
    : them to!

: To me the second setting looks like the top
: row of diamond of the normal tiara. Maybe a
: few additions, but most of them, certainly
: the bigger ones look exacly like those in
    : the saphire tiara.

: It has never been stated or confirmed that
: they actually reset the stones from this
: tiara in the second setting. It's possible
: yes, but they could very well use different
    : stones.

: With Queen Maxima's appearance, if one looks
: at the extremely large inauguration photo
: posted on the Royal House's website, it
: doesn't look like the tiara itself is askew,
: but rather the central sapphire and the
: smaller sapphires immediately above and
: below it are crooked by about two degrees
: counterclockwise. Perhaps a goof by the
: jeweller who may have hastily re-assembled
: the tiara after Princess Mabel's appearance
    : the night before?

: What a pity that little care seems to be
    : taken
: by some hairdressers to ensure that tiaras
: are centered above the bridge of the nose.
: The Duchess of Cornwall appears to have her

    :
: Queen Maxima's beautiful sapphire and
: diamond tiara was very slightly tilted:-
