Not wearing an order if you own one is exceptional but not a faux-pas unless she has been given a Swedish order. That might have come across as a little ungratefull towards the Swedish nation. The only Royal example in recent history i know off not wearing orders is Queen Fabiola of Belgium, but she never wore one. Not even the Belgian one.
