    Fabiola and Mathilde Archived Message

Posted by Johan on June 15, 2013, 4:11 am, in reply to "Re: Queen Astrid born Princess of sweden to Henri M."

Fabiola seems to have grown close to the Duchess of Brabant. She has suggested that Mathilde should succeed her in her role for the Queen Elisabeth competition. It's been Mathilde that has received several items for the Queen's jewel collection. I hope it means she'll leave the bigger and historic pieces to Filip and Mathilde.

    : I agree Henri M.
: Nowadays at Glittering Events Princess
: Mathilde is wearing some Queen Fabiola's
: jewelry (earrings for the King and Queen of
    : the Netherlands.)
: As now it was in Sweden , I had a dream ,
: but no I thought she would wear emeralds
    : ......

: We don't even know who was invited. The Duke
: of Brabant is twice the age of the bride.
: Was there any relationship at all between
: Princess Madeleine, the yongest child of the
: King, and other royals in the Benelux, Spain
    : or Liechtenstein.
    :
: Remember that also on other weddings of
: junior royals like Prince Constantijn,
: Prince Laurent, Prince Edward, Infanta
: Crístina, etc there was also no full
    : representation.
    :
: That all royal families are present at all
: royal weddings is not at all the standard.

: I don't think that no belgian show up was
    : for
: austerity, the Crown Prince was in
: California but all the others in Belgium,.
: Their cousin Guillaume also great grandson
: of Queen Astrid did attend and we could see
: the new tiara his wife was wearing for the
    : first time.

: Talking about Royal glitter, it seems to me
: that since the beginning of 2012, between
: the Botswana hunt, the King's health and
: all the Urdangarin affair, the Spanish RF
: has been very low profile.
: I do not recall important State visits to
: Spain or by the Spanish RF.
: Now they also had to give up the Royal
: yacht, which was one of the highlights of
: the summers at Palma de Majorca.
: It's really a difficult moment in general,
: but also for the European Royals.
