I enjoyed your montage, Lorenzo. The way you placed the tiara on Mathilde suits her very well.
Queen Paola seems to prefer her Art Deco bandeau anyway. It has been a couple of years since she wore the Nine Provinces. Does anybody remember when she wore it for the last time?
So I think that Paola will pass on this tiara anyway, be it a fixed rule, just a tradition, or only the best way to make sure that the next Queen and respected daughter-in-law can represent her position properly.
As for Queen Fabiola, I think that she will leave at least some pieces to the next Queen. Probably those which are most associated with her position as Queen of the Belgians like her strawberry leaf tiara. If I were her, I would leave the Wolfers tiara to Princess Elisabeth: it’s very fitting for a young princess and would skip inheritance tax for one generation
