I agree Henri. The arches, while grand, do not agree with the base and look almost like an after-thought. I wonder if once detached those arches may be worn by themselves as a small diadem. Or, perhaps attached to a chain of some sort and worn as a necklace. We know already the versatility of those diamonds. What surprises me is the color, considering the Congo was the plaything of the Belgian king, procuring the finest diamonds should not have been a problem. Instead, these seem to be off-color. Unless it is the tiara setting itself, the gold reflecting through. There is a photo of Princess Lilian wearing a choker of large diamonds, they are quite white and sparkly, perhaps it is these diamonds set into a platinum choker. --Previous Message-- : The new King and Queen effortlessy moved into : their role.
