First, I can only say that if the Mellerio archives show that the exhibition tiara was dismantled but was commissioned to be made again later then that must be so.
This though puts me in mind of the Fife tiara, where I have never been sure if it was the exhibition tiara or a copy or remake of that one ordered later. I have never read a definitive source on the matter, that I can recall.
