Dutch Parures (Old and New) Archived Message

Yes it would be lovely to see a Parure 'created' using (most of) Queen Emma's Diamond jewels:

Queen Emma's Diamond Tiara by Van Kempen
Wilhelmina's Diamond Collet Necklace ( in stead of Queen Emma's Diamond Riviere which is now the Diamond Bandeau)
Diamond Drop Earrings belonging to the same set
Queen Emma's Devant de Corsage (fully restored to it's original form)
The five Stars as (spray) brooches (as Queen Beatrix did during her visit in Singapore)
Diamond Bracelet with the Star motif

    Stunning!

Another combination I would like to see: A True Pearl Parure!

The full setting of the Diamond and Pearl Tiara or a setting with pear pearls only between the arches as Beatrix did in the 1970's.
    Large Pear Pearl Earrings
The Large Pearls Necklace (slightly extended!!!)
The Diamond and Pearl Devant de Corsage (Russian Brooch)
Large oval pearl set in diamonds (now used as an applique on a bracelet) with a pendant, as a brooch
Diamond open work bracelet with the round diamond and pearl clasp/applique from the three strand pearl necklace.

    Awesome

And then of course we all would love to see:

The Mellerio Ruby Parure in full Swing: Tiara, Necklace, Devant de Corsage, Brooch, Bracelets, Earrings. Like Queen Juliana once wore: on a simple black dress

The Peacock Motif Parure: Tiara, Necklace (open version) and Brooch with Diamond and Ruby earrings from the Mellerio Parure.

The Emerald Parure we have seen almost complete on Maxima but it has been a while. Time to put those two diamond and emerald clusters back on top of the tiara. Together with the two round emeralds that were moved on top of the bandeau it would create a more substantial emerald tiara. Now finally put the orginal ornament back on the necklace wear it at 3 o'clock, add the matching brooch with pendant as a devant de corsage, slap on the simple bracelet and a ring and we have a Green Queen Deluxe!

    As for the Sapphires......
We have seen the altered Sapphire Tiara by Mellerio. Much better. I never understood what Masin was aiming at with that central part. It never quite worked I think. Fortunately Maxima had the same thought. I still think those three Sapphires ('the brooch') are odd.
Anyway, add Wilhelmina's Diamond Collet Necklace ( Personally I don't care much for the Mellerio Sapphire Necklace unless it is worn as the original dogcollar on a simple dress and then perhaps only with the tiara).
One of the two huge Diamond and Sapphire Brooches (Devant de Corsages) Personally I would opt for the one with the rectangular Sapphire.
And then last but not least, Yes people...... here they are: the two Huge Diamond and Sapphire bracelets by Mellerio we have not seen in decades!

    Sunglasses out, I assure You!

Ah I need a rest now.

: Im hoping that Queen Maxima will revert to
: wearing full parures on white tie events and
: a tiara and a few other pieces for black tie
    : events.
    :
: It would be great to see the full Stuart,
: Ruby, Saphire, Peacock motive, emerald or
    : aquamarine parures on her.
    :
: Im also looking forward to Queen Emma's
: floral tiara with the stars on it, combined
: with Wilhelmina's festoon necklace and
    : earrings and Emma's wedding-gift devant de
    : corsage/brooch.

: I suppose Queen Juliana was the last one who
: really did them justice. Queen Beatrix did
: wear the large diamond and pearl corsage
: before turning it into a brooch. And the two
: diamond and sapphire bows 1 and 2 were
: still worn as corsages in the 80's but that
: was it I think. The Emerald Brooch or
: Corsage was still worn as such untill very
: recently. Recently Princess Laurentien opted
: to wear a small version of the huge diamond
: bow which belongs to the House Diamonds .
: It was used as a devant de corsage by Queens
    : Wilhelmina and Juliana.

: When and why did the actual Royals stop to
: wear their fabulous "devant de
    : corsage" ?

: You are a Gem! Thanks! Lovely Piece indeed.
    : It
: was one of many expensive jewellery presents
: from King Willem III to his young wife Queen
: Emma. The first years he gave her many
: diamond and sapphire pieces which formed a
    : lovely parure.

: Among the pics I once scanned from heaps of
: royal mags is this one, from an old issue of
    : Vorsten mag.
: Since it also includes drawings of various
: settings of this heirloom I think some of
: you will like seeing it - even if you
    : shouldn't like sapphires (totally
: unimaginable for me though )
