    Well this just goes to show how wikipedia can be edited by anyone and its information isn't always reliable.

    The site does explain that you might call the personal collection of the monarch the King's jewels when the monarch is male. But as we haven't had a male monarch for a good many years now (!) we always call them Queen's jewels.
    Also during the reign of the George VI I am not aware that there was the distinction or categorisation of jewels into Crown jewels or not.

    I guess its something we may only find out for sure once Her Majesty has passed on and Charles ascended the throne
