Thank you for posting this photo, I haven't seen it before. It is only the second pic of Empress Hermine with a tiara that I have ever seen.
But when I look at pics of Caroline with the sapphire necklace/bandeau, the setting strikes me as very modern. I find it hard to imagine that it should be a heirloom piece.
Besides, I have seen pics of a fairly young Ps. Caroline with that necklace. She must have worn it long before she became Princess of Hannover.
