In one of the old programmes about QEII (and her jewels) we have seen a member of staff in her 'vault' with a display storage cabinet for her jewels. It has shelves that are vertically stacked and rotate for access. Also there was some sort of catalogue or list of the jewels. I remember seeing this but not much more. So from this it suggests there are lists/catalogues of the Royal jewels. I think I have also seen that they record what she has worn and when. --Previous Message-- : : I think the Duchess of Cornwall wears a lot : of the family jewels. Is it possible the : Duchess of Cambridge does not feel qualified : or welcome to use more and more of the : jewels? I think the jewels of Sweden and : Netherlands royal families are shared except : for Sweden's queen and her special tiaras. : I long to see Kate wear Queen Mary's pearl : tiara and any other items the Queen may like : to share without offending the Duchess of : Cornwall. : : : And while I think about it, does the Queen : ever say "come by and let's look at : what we have in the vault"? Do they : have a catalog of the jewelry the ladies can : scan and pick items? It would make it a lot : easier. Is it a matter of sending an : Equerry to pick up the selected items then : they must be returned and checked for : missing stones etc? Now that I think of it, : seems like a LOT of work maybe that is why : Kate is so sparing. I think she dresses : suitable for her age. And Camilla should : have more access to important pieces. : : Good grief. I have a lot of questions. Is : there a pecking order? Do they have a list : of jewelry available for each royal lady? : As in specific that they are allowed to use? : : Sophie wore the same necklace Diana wore : that belongs to the Queen. : : The King Faisal Necklace : :
