I haven't read her biography for a while, but I don't recall her mentioning her jewels in it. I've always wondered what happened to her turquoise tiara. She had some beautiful jewels, indeed!

: It is Indian in style, could it be a gift from
: the Indian princes or a former Viceroy to
: either princess Helena or Marie-Louise?

: Agreed. But just which one would have given
    : her that tiara?

: Princess Marie Louise maybe was not a very
: prominent royal, she was very connected of
: course. Her mother was a Princess of the
: United Kingdom, her uncle Edward VII was
: King of the United Kingdom, her cousin
: George V was King of the United Kingdom, the
: German Emperor Wilhelm II was her cousin,
: etc. In these days she would have been
: considered 'very royal' compared with
    : today's royal pedigrees.
    :
: I think the answer for the surprisingly rich
: collection of jewels lies in Marie Louise's
    : many royal connections.
