It is simply a letter in which princess Elisabeth explains all the details about the wedding to her elder daughter who could not attend. Dress, wedding presents (jewels) ceremony... And so on... Princess Elisabeth was a very gifted letter writer. She had style. her letters are funny, very well written (in french of course). As the war was going on at the time, letters were written very often. The funny thing about the Orléans Bragance jewels ( i mean those belonging to princess Elisabeth) is that it seems princess Isabelle (Comtesse de Paris) and princess Françoise (duchess of Braganza) did not inherit anything from their mother. I guess that the idea was that as they had married into royal families, they would be given jewels by their husbands. And in a way, they were.
