I understand the fire regulations and the great fire at Windsor Castle still will be an open nerve for the Queen. I believe these lamps with lampshades are used for decades. Last week's Dutch/Swedish banquet saw dozens of burning candles in huge silver candelabras. To prevent dripping or leaking, each candle had a little protective glass 'bulb' on top, gliding down with the melting of the candles. It prevents candles blown out by an airwave, it is safer with fire and it prevents dripping on the expensive damast tableware. When the lights were dimmed, the dozens of slightly moving and trembling lights from the candles did their magic... reflected in brilliance by countless diamonds, the silver- and crystalware.
Try it at home. Buy a good necklace with rhinestones or swarovski crystals. Be amazed when the sparkle is maximal: in dimmed circumstances with warm, trembling light.
