The shorter of the two necklaces is probably the one known as the Orange pearls dating back to the early 17th century when ancestress Amalia of Solms, The Princess of Orange wore them. The pearls were inherited by her oldest daughter Louise-Henriette of Orange-Nassau who married Frederick William the Great Elector and was the mother of Frederick I, King in Prussia.
