Re: Swiss and Jubilee watches Archived Message

    LittleMo,

It is my understanding the the Swiss watch was given to Diana as a wedding gift. I therefore assume that it formed part of her estate and perhaps we will see it once again in use by the Duchess of Cambridge or her future sister-in-law (i.e. Harry's wife).

As for the new small jubilee watch, to the best of my knowledge, it has not yet been worn in public. But, if anyone knows differently, please let us know.

    Cheers!
    Bryce

: Ah yes, you are right Bryce, I was confusing
: the lost and replaced French watch of HM
: with the Swiss watch that Diana wore. Was
: the Swiss watch gifted to Diana or just
    : loaned ?
    :
: There is also an article here saying that
: she was given another tiny watch for her
: diamond jubilee. Have we ever seen that worn
    : ?

: I had not heard that the "Swiss"
    : watch had been lost.
    :
: While at Sandringham, The Queen had lost the
: watch given to her in 1938 by the French
: Republic. The French were kind enough to
: replaced this during her state visit to
    : France in 1957.

    : Cheers!

: And hasn't it also been reported that it was
: lost at some time after given to Diana ?

: I assume you mean the Queen wore this watch
: before she gave it to Diana, but not since?
