Some more, less often seen brooches... Archived Message

Since this week we have been treated to some less that often seen brooches, I though that I would delve into my "TBD" (To Be Determined) files to see if any one can provide some insight into a couple of items that may be "less often seen" as well.

Here goes. The first picture in from a tour to Nigeria circa 1960. The brooch has a unique shape but it does not spring to mind. There is some glare which does not help but maybe one of you has a thought as to which brooch it may be.

The next one is also from the mid to late 50's. The Queen's brooch looks to be a bird with spread wings. I do not think it is a badge, but then again I am not sure. Any thoughts ??

Lastly an even more vintage picture of Pns Elizabeth with Pns Margaret. Here the brooch seems to be a knot/scroll - perhaps in diamonds.

    Cheers!
