    Hello Josefine,

Thank you for this wonderful array of pictures.

I think you are right. The last public appearance of the Baden Fringe tiara on Crown Princess Victoria’s head, that I have recorded in my files, is the Nobel gala banquet at Stockholm’s Royal Palace on 11 December 2011. The then heavily pregnant Crown Princess matched the tiara with the big diamond ear hangers that she had worn for the first time for her pre-wedding reception.

The tiara was later worn by Princess Margaretha, Fru Ambler, on 8 June 2013 for Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill’s wedding. As far as I know, this is the last appearance of this tiara up to now.

Strange that Crown Princess Victoria has not worn this tiara for the last three years, whereas it seemed to be one of her firm favourites.

Do we know if this tiara is part of the Bernadotte Foundation, or is it the King’s (or the Queen’s or the Crown Princess’) private property?

Queen Victoria of Sweden (1862-1930, wife of King Gustav V) has used this tiara in a very versatile way, mostly as a tiara, but also as a necklace or as a corsage ornament. I would be glad if Queen Silvia would give a try and wear it as a necklace. I think it would make a very nice match with Queen Sofia’s Nine-Prong Diamond Tiara. A suggestion for the next Nobel ceremony...
