Well spotted, Joye! This brooch is pictured in Angela Kelly's book Dressing The Queen. It looks like a flower bouquet, with the five flowers made of sapphire and ruby petals with a diamond centre, surrounded by engraved emerald leaves, and diamond stems. Lovely and beautiful - and typical of the multigem "tutti frutti" jewellery style that Cartier made fashionable in the 1920s/1930s. Maybe it was another gift to the Queen in the early years of her life. I do not know if the Queen has ever worn this brooch before last Sunday, but I have no pictures of her wearing it. --Previous Message-- : Looks like a brooch from Angela Kelly book. : : --Previous Message-- : I don't recognize the brooch HM wore at : Crathie Church on Sunday, September 14.
