Thank you very much to all. This is a totally new saphire clasp/brooch to me. I agree it could easily come from QEQM, or perhaps was a gift from Pc Charles to his wife, we know he has bought several vintage pieces for her over the years. I hope we'll get some reliable info on its provenance.

Wonderful to see HRH's collection growing, she has a fabulous array of jewels at her disposal and in my opinion she wears them beautifully.

: Thank you for the wonderful close up photos
: Arthur. When I zoomed in on the photos, it
: is clear that this is the RAF eagle with a
: crown. I fancy the eagle's head is pointing
: to the left in this particular badge.

: The brooch has been worn several times
    : before,
: and always for events in connection with the
: Royal Air Force, so I guess it is a RAF
: badge (though I have never seen a good
: close-up of the brooch). It is the case here
: too, as mentioned by Barbara D. (Battle of
: Britain Fighter Association Service of
: thanksgiving and rededication at Westminster
    : Abbey).

: The pearl necklace with the sapphire clasp
: is new to me. I have never seen this clasp
: (which, considering its size, could probably
: be worn also as a brooch), either on the
: Duchess of Cornwall, or on Queen Elizabeth
: II or on Queen-Mother Elizabeth or on Queen
: Mary. This Art Deco clasp looks very fine. I
: do not know if the whole necklace is new, or
: if it is a new interchangeable clasp which
: could be swapped with other clasp(s) on an
: already-seen necklace (Camilla has so many
    : pearl necklaces...).

: This is a new piece to me and the center
: jewel is interesting. Could someone identify
: HRH's brooch for me? Thank you!

: I've just seen this photograph of the
    : Duchess
: of Cornwall at Westminster Abbey, is her
: necklace a new one - I certainly do not
: recall seeing it before !
