Of course, I know that the Queen, even when in Balmoral, is still the Queen: she meets several officials (Prime ministers of her realms, etc.) and certainly keeps being informed about the matters of State (with the famous "red boxes").
But this working activity (which is probably less intense than when the Queen is in London, Windsor or Edinburgh) is mostly behind closed doors. Now we can see her again, and delight in identifying which jewels she is wearing!
