This brooch has a grey (not really black) pearl, and has a Prince of Wales feather emblem in diamonds. Could Edward VII have presented a jewel with such a strong symbolism to his mistress Mrs Keppel? I do not know. Camilla wore this brooch for her wedding ceremony to the Prince of Wales on 9 May 2005 (civil ceremony). If this brooch was the Keppel brooch presented by Edward VII to Mrs Keppel and later by Prince Charles to Camilla, then Camilla's choice would have had more symbolism than what it looked at first sight...
