: [Edit: sorry, I posted the following message
: without noticing that Gert-Jan had posted
: earlier the same information, and similar
    : pictures, in another thread]
    :
: The President of Colombia, Juan Manuel
: Santos, is currently paying a State visit to
: Spain. This evening, King Felipe VI hosted a
: State dinner at the Palacio de Oriente
    : (Madrid's Royal Palace).
    :
: Queen Letizia looked very elegant in her
: grey dress. Jewellerywise, nothing to
: blame... and nothing very original either!
: The Queen wore the Mellerio Floral Tiara
: (which has clearly become her favorite tiara
: for a few years now), a pair of diamond
: earrings (a wedding gift, if I well
: remember?) and her Fleur-de-Lys Brooch. As
: usual, she did not wear any necklace - which
: is a pity, as Queen Sofia owns several
: diamond necklaces, which could match
: perfectly this tiara. Or a sapphire and
: diamond necklace (Queen Sofia owns at least
: one), which would have matched brilliantly
: with the blue sash of the Colombian Order of
    : Boyacá.
    :
: Let's enjoy the glitter, anyway!

: The Colombian First Lady, Maria Clemencia
: Rodriguez de Santos, also wore interesting
    : diamond earrings:

I think the economic troubles make it unwise to show off the good jewels. The first lady of Colombia is very pretty.
