Happy Victoria Day to all Canadian posters or readers of this board!

It is the perfect opportunity to (re)post pictures of one of the most iconic Canadian jewels of the Queen of Canada: Queen (Mother) Elizabeth Canadian Maple-Leaf Brooch - which is also one of the few jewels (if not the only one?) which was worn by each generation of ladies of the Royal Family since Queen (Mother) Elizabeth (for whom this jewel was created by Asprey & Co. in 1939, on King George VI's commission, ahead of the official visit of the royal couple to Canada).

Queen (Mother) Elizabeth retained the brooch in her possession until her death in 2002, but loaned it occasionally to her daughter the Queen. After she inherited it in 2002, Queen Elizabeth II loaned it to her daughter-in-law the Duchess of Cornwall, and to her granddaughter-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge.
