More from the Garden Party Archived Message

Four Royal Ladies were the guests of honour at a Garden Party in honour of the centenary of the Women's Institute (WI) at Buckingham Palace June 2, 2015. From all accounts it appears to have been a windy affair !!

They were TRHs the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Alexandra the Hon. Lady Ogilvy, the Countess of Wessex and the Duchess of Gloucester.

The Duchess of Cornwall wore her 4 Stand Pearl Choker with the large diamond clasp, her Diamond and Sapphire Butterfly brooch both of which we have seen quite often in the last few weeks...and also a WI pin

Princess Alexandra also wore a chocker - her 3 stand pearl choker with the diamond shaped clasp, Pearl Button and Diamond earrings and her 6 Petal Flower brooch which is quite similar to her cousin The Queen's

The Countess of Wessex, as mentioned, wore a gold brooch and the diamond and pearl drop earrings that were asked about a few threads below.

The Duchess of Gloucester wore powder blue accented with (what I think are) two sets of Sapphire and Diamond earrings - one pair in her ears and one pair as clips on her collar with some large grey pearls(?)

    Edit to clarify: per Mauriz
"The latter's second pair of clips are indeed dress clips and not earrings. Their design is not mirrored - the left one is worn upside down, turn it around and it will point in the same direction as the right one - which wouldn't work for earrings."

    Edit to clarify: per Beth
"The Duchess has been wearing her Tahitian pearls for a number of years now."
