Fascinating discussion. Thank you everyone.
I have noticed confusion creeping into the discussion so I think we need to clarify some details and most importantly names.
This posts covers only QA's necklaces
I have highlighted suggestions for names. Others may have better suggestions.
From Franck's and Maridje's posts, it is clear that QA acquired from Cartier --
1901 Queen Alexandra's 1901 Cartier Indian necklace. This consists of 71 pearls 12 rubies and 94 emeralds. All accounts seem to state that the stones came from "Indian jewels" already in the Queen's possession. [No photograph as far as I am aware]
1904. The collier resille with the detachable ruby and emerald drops. This is the collier which can be seen in photographs of Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary. I suggest that we continue to call this Queen Alexandra's collier resille as the name is entrenched.
1904. A second collier resille which has bows and swags, which Laura has suggested we call "Queen Alexandra's Garland necklace" to avoid confusion.
1907 An emerald and diamond dog collar. [I am not aware of a photo]
1909 A pearl and diamond necklace with a double drop. [I am not aware of a photo]
