It is a beautiful set and iy would be great to see it again. If it is adorning a future Princess of Beira or even the present Duchess of Braganza at some point it would be even greater!

The central oval : pendant went upwards, and the two small : central side pendants were removed to make : earrings. : : Queen Amélia did not have her ears pierced : and she never wore earrings, nor they were : part of the original parure. The original : wedding gift had also small emerald brooches : that are not on this picture. I have no idea : who owned the parure at that time nor when : were the changes made on the necklace. I : notest a tag at the end of the necklace, : could it be a price or some sort of : reference tag? Perhaps an auction in 1961? : I believe it was written here some time ago : that aparently the parure was "not very : far from where it should be", wich was : interpreted as perhaps some family of the : nobility, close to the royal house, might : own it.
