And not only Princess Madeleine, but also Princess Christina, Mrs Magnusson, wore the Aquamarine tiara twice in the recent past (representation dinners in March 2014 and February 2015).
There was definitely a change, as the tiara, which had been kept unseen for years until Crown Princess Victoria's wedding in 2010, was seen since then on at least three royal ladies (Princess Margaretha, Princess Christina, Princess Madeleine). So far, considering the very few reliable information available, no option about the tiara's ownership can be excluded. I hope it has been bought back by the King or the Bernadotte Foundation, but the possibility of a loan from Princess Margaretha can not be excluded (though it would be strange).
Like Tamara, I am puzzled by the fact that, while the aquamarine tiara resurfaced on several royal ladies, the matching brooch remained with Princess Margaretha. If the tiara had been only loaned (for practical safe-guarding reasons or for whatever other reason) by Princess Margaretha, I guess she would probably have loaned the brooch too. This makes me guess the tiara has not just been loaned, but probably bought by the King or the Bernadotte Foundation, while the brooch still waits to be bought back (who knows, maybe even the King needs time to collect the money required to buy the brooch?). But I admit it is so far pure speculation.
Anyway, I am so happy to see this beautiful tiara in its full glory again! The timeless elegance of the design, the size of the aquamarines and the intensity of their colour are absolutely amazing!
