Many thanks for the information Barbara. I suspect that the term "original parure" might refer to the suite worn by the Duchess of Cambridge. According to Roberts page 174 (quoting the Duchess of Teck's journal in footnote 1) the Duchess of Teck was given her mother's emerald necklace in 1857; however, the Duchess of Cambridge retained at least 11 emeralds for another necklace.
