    I suspect that the emerald brooch in Arthur's photos, which was worn by the Duchess of Teck, did belong to her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, as she was often reported to have worn an emerald stomacher, necklace and earrings on grand Court occasions. Unfortunately, I have not found very early press reports in the English newspapers as the Duke of Cambridge acted as Regent in Hanover until Queen Victoria ascended the throne. As a result, the Cambridges spent most of their time in Hanover.
