Hi Franck I am a little confused about your message concerning the information about the Duchess's jewels. Do you mean what she received as wedding gifts? If so, The Times published official lists on 21, 23, 27 March. Royal gift on 25 April 1923. Another official list on 17 April. From the 27 March 1923 list we learn that she received a ruby and diamond brooch from Lord and Lady Clinton. --Previous Message-- : Dear LauraM, : : Thank you for your message ! : : What is very strange is the fact that we : have no real information concerning jewels : given to the Duchess of York in 1923. : : I have written to Ursula about it. : : Have you found more information in : newspapers, books...? : : Best regards, : : Franck : : --Previous Message-- : Congratulations Franck. What a great : discovery. : : The Times describes this tiara as "a : diamond tiara in leaf design with single : diamonds on each spike" (The Times, 5 : Nov 1935. p. 21 : : In this report no mention of coloured : stones. : : : :
