I find Queen Alexandra's 'Fringe' aka the Russian Iceberg, the least attractive fringe tiaras out there. Its massive and intimidating. Not elegant or charming. Second place is a tie between the Burmese Ruby aka Red Rubble Tiara (eclectic is not even close to describing this design) and the Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara (and Parure) aka the Blue Duplo Set. The sheer size and number of the Aquamarines is just too overpowering for any wearer. Listen I appreciate a gaudy tiara from time to time but honestly I think the British Royal collection just has too many of them. But I love the fact that they are in existence and even worn!
--Previous Message-- : Finally, someone who shares my feeling about : fringe tiaras! I have said here more than : once that they look like picket fences. I : do love the one Princess Madeleine of Sweden : wears, which has some pretty, softening : elements. And I have always thought Queen : Mary should have kept at least one of her : similar wedding tiaras rather than : sacrificing (both of?) them to make her own : picket fence. She had such good taste : otherwise! :
