I personally do like very much the various fringe tiaras (such classical timeless elegance!) - though some of them are more successful than others (for instance, I am not a great fan of Queen Alexandrine of Denmark's fringe tiara, now with Countess Sussie of Rosenborg).
I also like very much Queen Elizabeth II's modern ruby or aquamarine tiaras. These tiaras retain something classical and regal, though integrated in a modern design, which makes (in my humble opinion, and according to my very personal taste) a very successful combination.
As my least successful tiaras, I suggest the following two, ex aequo:
- Queen Sonja's modern gold tiara - sometimes nicknamed on this board the "Star Trek tiara". Just too futuristic for my taste!
- Queen Rania's small Boucheron tiara. Just so plain and girlish - definitely not fit for a Queen!
