: I don't know much about the Albanian royal
: jewels so I did some searching in honor of
: the wedding tomorrow. Most if not all of
: the women seemed to have owned a tiara
: featuring a ram, which was the symbol of
: Skanderbeg, a medieval Albanian ruler. The
: two eldest sister's of King Zog lived
: relatively private lives while the youngest
: four had official court duties. He became
: King of Albania in 1928, married Geraldine
: in 1938, and went into exile in 1939.
    :
: The women of the Albanian royal family were
: Queen Geraldine, wife of King Zog
: Crown Princess Susan, daughter-in-law of
    : King Zog
: Princess Adile, sister of King Zog
: Princess Nafije, sister of King Zog
: Princess Senije, sister of King Zog
: Princess Myzejen/Myzeyen, sister of King Zog
: Princess Ruhije, sister of King Zog
: Princess Maxhide, sister of King Zog

: From Christie's press release talking about
: their Magnificent Jewels auction in October
    : 2004.
: "Formerly from the collection of Her
: Majesty, Queen Geraldine of Albania, is a
: spectacular Art Deco diamond bracelet
    : (estimate: $80,000-120,000) and diamond
    : double-clip brooch (estimate: $60,000-
: 80,000) that epitomize the design of the
: late Art Deco period, with its bold,
: all-white style. Both jewels were created by
: the Vienna firm of Marianne Ostier, the
: official jewelers to the Albanian Royal
: Court. King Zog, the King of Albania,
: purchased the magnificent bracelet and the
: double clip brooch from Ostier in 1938 to
: present as gifts to his fiancée.
: Subsequently, she wore the brooch on their
    : wedding day, April 27, 1938. In 1960,
: Ostier was commissioned by the King and
: Queen to sell these pieces, along with
: others from her personal collection, to aid
: Albanian refugees fleeing from their
: homeland. They have remained in a private
