I had started thread last year on the subjet of this demi-parure.

Princess Margarita did wore this set of jewels in the mid or late eighties at a charity event, also attended by HRH Madame la Comtesse de Paris, HRH Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy, and HH Princess Ira von Furstenberg. I think it is the same event where HRH the Duchess de Montpensier (Comtesse de Clermont at that time) wore that borrowed parure of cabochon sapphires and diamonds) and wearing a matching deep blue silk dress.

I remember seeing the coverage in French magazine called DYNASTIE, which sadly closed down after a few years.

: As far as I remember, I have never seen
: pictures of the Princess wearing the set
: before, so I believe it was with her mother
    : in Switzerland.
: I am certain she will pair the demi-parure
: with the Greek key tiara for some of the
: grander events she attends in the future.

: Thank you very much Alex G, haven't seen
    : this
: set for a long time. So beautiful sapphires,
: its wonderfil they are still in the family.
    :
: Is this the first time they are worn by the
: Crown Princess? I never saw them on any one
: else but the late Queen, could this set have
: been inherited by the eldest daughter?
: CP Margareta often wears the stunning Greek
: key tiara at oficial events but never saw
: her wear this set. Hope she wears both
: jewels at future events, it would look
    : wonderful.

: Crown Princess Margareta wore her mother's
: sapphire demi-parure for a concert in honour
: of HM the King's 95th birthday this week. I
: recall Vincent said they were of Danish
: provenance. A rare outing for this beautiful
: ensemble. A pity Queen Marie's sapphires are
: no longer with the family, they would be
    : quite a sight!
