I am still yearning to watch more 1950's and below films. I have seen so many, I am running out of ideas. So far I have watched:
Voodoo Man (1944) - Bela Lugosi, George Zucco and John Carradine. Great cast but it is run of the mill. Sorta boring but entertaining none the less.
The Brain From Planet Arous (1957) - Another worthwhile cast. Robert Fuller was in it in an early role. Fun. Campy....but not great.
Night Of The Blood Beast (1957)- Fun film. Ed Nelson is always great.
The Mask (1961)- Totally bizarre dream/vision sequences. Very interesting film. A mask, when worn, takes and gains more control over the wearer.
Lady Frankenstein (1971) - Pretty good film in the Frankenstein arena. Good gothic 70's atmosphere.
I have also been watching "Dr. Gangrene" on youtube. He is doing a daily countdown theme of "creepy crawly" films. I may watch some of those if I can keep up. I did re-watch "The Deadly Mantis" (1957), which I have always liked.
Check out Dr. Gangrene. He is pretty fun. A throwback to the old horror tv show hosts. He is a fan of the "Sir Cecil Creape" host that once roamed the Nashville Tn. airways. (He scared the living daylights out of me as a kid!)
Have you watched anything yet, Al?
