George, just to let you know that M. Massard did indeed send me a package of ten of his recordings, a mixture of radio broadcasts and commercial releases. Among them is indeed that "Don Procopio" of which you speak so highly, a very promising "Macbeth" in Italian and lots of really interesting stuff such as Strauss' Feuersnot" in French and several complete operas with Alain Vanzo such as an "Andrea Chenier" conducted by Georges Sebastian. They are evidently quite rare; the only one I already had on my shelves was the "Mireille" conducted by Etcheverry. It will take me a while to listen but I plan on doing an article for MWI and will perhaps ask him if we can upload some of the non-commercial ones to make them available. Sound quality varies between somewhat poor mono to excellent stereo but all are listenable.
