There's a lot of "Busy" writing (the soloist is certainly kept busy) in this piece but there's little, it seems to me, in the way of strong ideas that have given the Prokofiev, Khachaturian - and the Addinsell - a place in the repertoire.
Thanks for posting the link but it's not a piece I'm keen to hear again.
Speaking of piano concertos has anyone heard the Beryl Rubinstein concerto-if not give it a listen and let us know what you think.
